Trying out my new pigment liners, while trying to capture the life at around a deep sea vent, also called “black smokers”. They occur on the bottom of the ocean, typically at locations where tectonic plates are diverging and a new crust is formed. Hot water filled with dissolved minerals emerges from the bottom and delivers “food” for bacteria. These again are eaten by higher organisms, like amphipods, tube worms and other invertebrates.
